Protective Hydermios: day cream for dehydrated skin with uv filter<\/h2>\n

Office air, neon lighting and central heating dry out the skin faster than most clients suspect, resulting in ageing that does not match their age. This day cream for dehydrated skin is the answer to that.<\/p>\n

The cream is built around pure oils. Babassu oil from the Amazon rainforest is rich in lauric acid and was traditionally used for wound healing. Sweet almond oil preserves the moisture balance, consists for the greater part of unsaturated fatty acids and is mildly occlusive, which lowers moisture loss through the horny layer. Shea butter softens and brings the vitamins A, E and F.<\/p>\n

The emulsifier polyglyceryl-2 stearate is Ecocert and COSMOS certified and matches the natural skin lipids. That is why it helps the skin barrier recover after exposure to uv, which can be read off from a lower TEWL: less moisture loss, a better skin feel.<\/p>\n

There is no shortage of plant extracts. Chamomile soothes, lemon balm supports recovery after uv and environmental damage, horsetail strengthens the connective tissue with silicic acid and sage is anti-inflammatory. Niacinamide gets the production of ceramides going; sodium lactate and urea bind water in the skin.<\/p>\n

Micronised titanium dioxide reflects uv-A and uv-B without a white haze, so that the cream also protects against sun and neon light. In the salon you finish the treatment with it; at home your client applies it last in the morning, before make-up.<\/p>\n
