Within that standard Type II is the heavier filter class. They are supplied in a box of fifty pieces.<\/p>\n<p>The filter layer is made of polypropylene and, according to the typing, stops more than 98% of the bacteria-carrying particles (BFE). The R in Type IIR stands for splash resistant: the outer layer repels moisture coming from outside.<\/p>\n<p>The masks are non-sterile, lint-free and finished to be kind to the skin. Lint-free is no detail in the salon, because you do not want loose fibres on freshly cleansed or just-treated skin.<\/p>\n<p>The nose edge holds an integrated bar that you bend to the anatomy. That way the mask closes along the bridge of the nose, which saves air leaking upwards and therefore a fogged-up pair of glasses during precision work.<\/p>\n<p>You put on a mask for everything where you work close above the client&#8217;s face for a long time: facial treatments, extractions, lash work and scalp treatments. A mask is single-use and is discarded after the treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The masks carry a CE marking under directive 93\/42\/EEC.
