Kasho KDM Offset 6 inch: semi-convex blades that cut through the strand

With the Kasho KDM Offset 6 inch you have blade length to spare, and you notice it in scissor-over-comb work, when shortening long hair in wide sections and when working freehand. Fewer cuts per strand means a calmer run of the line.

The semi-convex, hollow-ground blades have a satin finish and a razor-like edge. As a result the scissors cut through the hair instead of compressing it; on long strands that is the difference between a clean line and a ragged bottom edge.

The steel is high-grade VG10-W carbon steel, forged instead of stamped. Long scissors take more leverage, so it counts here in particular that the material holds its edge and the blades keep running exactly on each other.

The tension screw system with spring mechanism is simple to adjust. At this blade length in particular you want to set the tension to your hand: too light and the scissors push hair away, too heavy and your wrist turns with the work.
