Medex Hygiene mask: face shield for the salon of 66 grams

A lightweight face shield for the salon, for treatments in which you work close to the client’s face. The transparent screen catches droplets and thereby protects you against droplet infection.

The mask comes in separate parts: the transparent protective section, a soft foam piece that rests on the forehead, and an elastic headband. You put those together quickly and easily, and the elastic band means the mask stays in place on different head sizes.

The screen consists of PET plastic 0.4 mm thick and measures 378 by 250 millimetres. The whole thing weighs 66 grams, and you notice that during a treatment that lasts an hour or longer: the mask does not press and does not slip.

Disinfecting can be done with alcohol or with UV light. That keeps the face shield for the salon in circulation between two clients, instead of you throwing it away.

If you prefer to wear a mouth mask as well, that simply fits underneath the screen. You can also keep your own glasses on — the mask can be worn over glasses.

The soft foam piece lies between screen and forehead and keeps the plastic off the skin, even when you work through the whole day.
