Wahl Super Taper X: blending clipper for outlines and off-scalp blends
A blending clipper for outlines, off-scalp blends and freehand techniques asks for a blade that holds the transition. The T-shaped Stagger-Tooth blade is drawn for that: the staggered tooth arrangement takes the hair in a surface that you can work out without a starting line.
The rotary motor runs at 6,500 RPM and goes through coarse, thick and fine hair without holding back. Where a lighter motor drops back in revolutions under resistance, here the cut stays even – you notice that above all in the second half of a full day.
The cutting length runs from 0.5 to 1.2 millimetres. That range is short and deliberately chosen that way: this is where the work flat on the skin sits, from taking away bulk to the subtle transition just above the line. A blending clipper with this range is one you use alongside your main machine, as a finishing tool.
With a cutting width of 46 millimetres you cover more per stroke than with a narrow trimmer blade, while the compact, light housing spares the wrist during precision work in the neck and around the ears.
Included are ten premium attachment combs (1.5, 3, 4.5, 6, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22 and 25 mm), a styling comb, the power supply, oil, a cleaning brush and a blade guard.
