Soin de Jour: anti-ageing day cream spf 15 for dry, sensitive skin
Rich but gentle, and with protection built in. Soin de Jour is an anti-ageing day cream spf 15 developed for dry and sensitive skin, combining a complex of more than seven active ingredients that protect at skin level and at cell level.
The oligopeptide Acetyl Hexapeptide-49 is there especially for sensitive skin. It breaks the cascade of inflammatory factors such as PAR-2 and the interleukins IL-6 and IL-8 that are produced in the keratinocytes of sensitive skin. Redness, itching, burning and stinging decrease and the skin barrier functions better.
The filters are all photostable, so that they do not break down themselves in the sun. Diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate holds back UV-A, the radiation that encourages sun allergy and skin ageing; ethylhexyl triazone and diethylhexyl butamido triazone capture UV-B, responsible for burning and redness.
Three sea algae supply the anti-ageing work. Undaria pinnatifida strengthens the skin’s own defence against oxidative stress, Alaria esculenta helps prevent DNA damage from UV and oxidation, and Fucus vesiculosus releases fucoidan plus gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid that binds moisture and helps a damaged barrier recover.
Shea butter softens and is rich in the vitamins A, E and F. The Ecocert/COSMOS certified emulsifier polyglyceryl-2 stearate matches the skin’s own lipids and lowers moisture loss, measurable in the TEWL. Vitamin E protects the lipids of the cell membranes as it does so.
You apply this anti-ageing day cream spf 15 every morning to well-cleansed skin. The jar contains 50 ml.
