Medex Re-genesis Cream 50 ml: anti-ageing night cream with pentapeptide

An anti-ageing night cream intended for mature, already somewhat wrinkled skin, and especially for skin that has not been optimally cared for in the past or has even been somewhat neglected. There is ground to be regained with this cream.

Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 forms the core of this anti-ageing night cream. It is a vectorised peptide: the lipophilic palmitoyl chain improves penetration, which makes the pentapeptide biologically more available. In the cell it acts as a messenger that prompts fibroblasts to produce more collagen and glycosaminoglycans. In its own in vitro research the manufacturer measures an increase in collagen type IV synthesis of 100 to 327 per cent and of the production of glycosaminoglycans by 267 per cent; in in vivo research 80 per cent of the test panel reports a clear reduction of deep and medium-deep wrinkles after six months.

L-lactic acid supports from a different angle. This alpha hydroxy acid stimulates the production of new cells in the epidermis, inhibits the pigment-forming enzyme tyrosinase and activates ceramide biosynthesis, which firms the lipid barrier. Niacinamide contributes to that through the formation of lamellar lipid layers and increases the resistance of the skin.

Shea butter, vegetable glycerine, sodium lactate and urea keep the cream nourishing and the moisture balance up to standard. Vitamin E protects the lipids of the cell membranes as an antioxidant.

You apply it in the evening before going to sleep, after facial cleansing and the lotion. Specific products can be used underneath. The combination with Re-genesis Ampoules is recommended.
