L’ange d’or de la Mer: gold and caviar elixir, gold and sea algae
Gold, sturgeon caviar and a trio of sea algae in a single jar. L’ange d’or de la Mer, the gold and caviar elixir, is the showpiece of the Charlotte Sophie Cosmétique line: a 24-hour care that keeps working day and night, with extra attention for the eye contour.
The caviar extract supplies essential amino acids and fatty acids, oligopeptides, proteins and trace elements. In nature that is the complete starter nutrition of the young sturgeon; on the skin it is building material for repair at cell level and for the connective tissue structures collagen and elastin.
Gold does more than give shine. It slows down the breakdown of collagen, improves the elasticity and stimulates the barrier function, by which the skin visibly repairs itself.
The algae determine the character of this elixir. Hand-harvested Fucus vesiculosus releases fucoidan, which lies over the surface like a second skin, while the accompanying gluconolactone binds moisture as a polyhydroxy acid and helps to repair a damaged barrier. Undaria pinnatifida protects against oxidative stress, Alaria esculenta against DNA damage and the ageing protein progerin.
In its own research the manufacturer measures 20% more elasticity and 25% more firmness with Alaria esculenta; 65% of the test panel sees fewer wrinkles.
With the jar of 150 ml come eight ampoules of Spécialité d’Argireline of 5 ml. These combine Argireline and Inyline, oligopeptides that act pre- and post-synaptically on the small muscles in the skin. The manufacturer refers to published research in which Argireline in a concentration of 10% gave 30% wrinkle reduction after thirty days compared with placebo.
In the cabin you work with this cream according to the separate Charlotte Sophie treatment protocol.
