a-Hycid Gel 10% pH 3.8: the light fruit acid peeling of the line
The a-Hycid gel 10% is a peeling with 100% natural fruit acids. The gel stimulates the natural renewal process of the skin. Medex supplies it in a jar of 50 ml, with a pH of 3.8.
The formula contains lactic acid, citric acid and tartaric acid. This is the light strength of the line: 10% for at home and in the salon, alongside the 30% that is only used as a salon treatment.
Suitable for all skin types that are suitable for peeling.
Always start with a sensitivity test on the inside of the arm, in order to rule out an allergy. If strong reactions fail to appear, only then do you apply the gel to a larger area.
Use every other day, preferably in the evening, in a thin layer on cleansed skin. If you apply too much, rinse that off with water or take it away with a damp sponge. After 5 minutes you wash the gel off.
Do you use it as a pre-treatment for a professional peeling course? Then stop during that course and resume afterwards as an aftercare gel.
Use of the a-Hycid fruit acid gels always goes together with protection against uv radiation with a-Hycid Spezialpflege or Spezialpflege-A. That is a fixed rule from Medex for this line, not a loose recommendation.
Active ingredients in the a-Hycid Gel 10%: L-lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid from fruit and dairy that of the AHAs is the most effective with hyperpigmentation, inhibits tyrosinase and supports ceramide synthesis. Sodium citrate from citrus fruits works as an antioxidant and also regulates the pH. L-tartaric acid is a double alpha hydroxy acid from ripe wine.
