Medex deodorant cream: microbes out, perspiration simply continues

This deodorant cream is a paste-like cream that switches off the microbes that cause body odour. Unlike an antiperspirant it does not inhibit sweating: perspiration simply continues and the pores stay open. So you do not mask the odour, you take away the cause.

For the average user, applying it once every five to seven days is enough. The product stays active after bathing, showering and swimming and holds up during sport and heavy exertion. In clothing it leaves no discolouration or odours behind.

The action rests on a series of antimicrobial and skin-calming substances. Zinc oxide is astringent and fungicidal. Coconut oil supplies lauric acid, which is converted in the body into monolaurin and makes the outside of certain bacteria soluble. Bisabolol from German chamomile calms the skin and inhibits bacteria and fungi; arnica and calendula complete that anti-inflammatory profile.

Advise clients to stop using their old deodorant twenty-four hours before first use. Wash and dry the armpits first, then apply an amount the size of a grain of rice with a fingertip or spatula. Do not rub it in: applying it lightly is enough, so the pores stay open. During the first week it may be a little more often, until the level of protection has been built up.

For feet a small dab between the toes, under the ball of the foot and in the arch is enough. Combining it with another deodorant or antiperspirant serves no purpose. Close the jar immediately after use, otherwise the activity can decrease. The manufacturer calculates that one jar of 20 ml lasts about four months.
