Lotion Humedios: oily skin lotion with lactic acid and tartaric acid
After the cleansing the skin is clean, but not yet in balance. This oily skin lotion seizes that moment: it keeps the skin free from congestion by excessive sebum production and brings the pH value back to where it belongs.
L-lactic acid is the main component. This alpha hydroxy acid occurs naturally in the body and stimulates the production of new cells in the epidermis. It also sets the biosynthesis of ceramides in motion, and more ceramides in the horny layer means a firmer lipid barrier. Of all the alpha hydroxy acids it is precisely L-lactic acid that gives the best results with hyperpigmentation, because it inhibits the pigment-forming enzyme tyrosinase.
L-tartaric acid, the same acid that is found in old wine, works in the same direction and protects the barrier function with its antioxidant properties. Together both acids keep the pH of the skin in the right balance.
For a lotion like this, sebum regulation is the real work. Capryloyl glycine inhibits the activity of 5-alpha-reductase, the enzyme that drives up sebum production, and works together with undecylenoyl glycine to kill Propionibacterium acnes. D-panthenol meanwhile reduces redness and helps to bring down the pore size.
Use the lotion morning and evening after the cleansing and before the day or night cream. If you work with a mask, the lotion comes afterwards. The pump bottle of 120 ml is also suitable for the oily skin with wide pores.
