Argireline works in the synapse of the nerves that control the small muscles in the skin. If those receptors are blocked, the muscles do not contract and wrinkles arise or worsen less quickly. The manufacturer refers to published research in which Argireline 10 percent gave 30 percent wrinkle reduction after thirty days compared with placebo.

Tinticosyn, obtained from a unique yeast extract, prompts new production of collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycans. In this way the extracellular matrix becomes firmer and fine lines become less visible; at the same time the energy level of the ageing skin comes closer again to that of a young skin.

Fomes officinalis, an Eastern European mushroom extract, is astringent, tissue-firming and moisturising. The tightening effect is directly noticeable in a better tone and in pores that decrease both in number and in size, especially on the forehead and the mid-zone.
