Lotion Hydermios: lactic acid lotion for the moisture-deficient skin

Anyone who runs several facial treatments a day does not want the lactic acid lotion to run out halfway through the week. This bottle of 500 ml is calculated for that and is intended for moisture-deficient to normal skin, but suitable for dry or sensitive skin as well.

The active heart is L-lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid that also occurs in the human body. It keeps the pH value of the skin in the right balance, stimulates the production of new cells in the epidermis and sets the biosynthesis of ceramides in motion stereoselectively. More ceramides in the horny layer means a firmer lipid barrier and a skin that dries out less quickly.

With hyperpigmentation this alpha hydroxy acid is moreover more effective than glycolic acid: in higher concentrations L-lactate derivatives inhibit the production of tyrosinase, the enzyme that takes the first step in pigment formation.

Witch hazel supplements the formula with tannins and glucosides that calm, soothe and act astringently. Allantoin has a favourable influence on the moisture balance, works keratolytically and stimulates the production of new epidermal cells, by which the skin feels smoother and softer.

In the salon you use this lotion in phase 7 of the Medex treatment protocol, after taking off the mask and before the day or night cream. At home the client uses it morning and evening after the cleansing.
