Serum Phyto Hormones for moisture-poor and dull skin
Serum Phyto Hormones belongs to the Serum Repair Therapy by Medex and targets a skin that lacks moisture and has lost its freshness.
The active substance is an extract of Fagus Sylvatica, the beech. Medex does not obtain it from the leaf or the bark but from the young buds — the part of the plant in which the growth is still stored.
Medex names four indications: very moisture-poor skin, uneven skin, dull skin and sensitive skin. That last one matters, because an active serum and a sensitive skin do not automatically go together.
You apply a few drops twice a day, with your usual day and night cream over them.
The name refers to phyto-hormones, plant-based substances. In the ingredient statement Medex names only the beech extract; the manufacturer does not release the further composition.
In the treatment room this is the serum for the client who says her skin looks dull and lifeless without any clear condition being present.
Serum Lumière from the same range uses the same beech extract but is given a different indication by Medex. If your client mainly wants to tackle pigment and small scars, that is the serum to choose.
Store the bottle at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.
The bottle holds 20 ml. A full INCI list is not available.
See more in Serums or read more about the beech.
